NATE Industry Competency Exam (ICE) Certification
Certification exam for those completing a HVACR training program
NATE HVACR Ready-to-Work Certificate (New)
Job-ready online certificate exam, with NATE training guides, to test HVACR work-readiness, regardless of educational background
NATE HVACR Support Technician Certificate (New)
Certificate exam for technicians with 6-12 months of experience
Less difficult exam; serves as a gateway to professional NATE certification in the future
NATE Heating & Cooling Professional Technician and NATE Refrigeration Professional Technician Certifications
Certification exam for technicians with 2+ years of experience

AHRI Names Chief Operating Officer
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced that John Lanier, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of North American Technician Excellence (NATE), will perform the same role for AHRI, overseeing Public Affairs, Technical Services, Regulatory & International Policy, and Information Technology, while continuing to lead NATE.
“John Lanier’s expanded role at AHRI will help us meet the many challenges that come with the growth and success we have seen and expect to experience in the coming years,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “I’m excited that he has agreed to take on this challenge, and I look forward to having him apply his many skills and his focus to some of our most important programs.”
In his expanded role, Lanier will manage AHRI’s certification programs, as well as standards, software development, regulatory and international policy, communications, and information technology. Lanier, who was named COO of NATE in 2013, oversees the management and execution of all of NATE’s programs. He has held a variety of executive leadership roles, most notably as Senior Vice President of Operations at the National Federation of Independent Business.
Lanier will report to Yurek, who will continue his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of AHRI.
NATE Review and Testing Hosted by Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association
The Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRACCA) will offer NATE certification review and testing at the 2016 AHR Expo on Monday, January 25th from 8am-5pm in Orlando, FL
The test session will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 25 and the HVACR Review Session will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on that day, prior to the test session. Registration forms are available for download via this NATE Registration AHR Expo 2016 link at http://www.natex.org/site/387/About-NATE/NATE-News or contact vbriggs@natex.org. The cost is $155 per exam.
Those interested in testing must register by January 8, 2016.
Pay NATE Recertification Fees at NATE Store
If you have already have a minimum of 16 continuing education hours (CEH) recorded to NATE, you can now pay your recertification fees online (starting at $25) at the NATE store at https://store.natex.org/techncian-recertification. You can check CEH recorded (and update your contact information) by logging in at www.mynate.org or contacting NATE.
NATE Offers EPA 608 Exams
NATE proctors and testing organizations can now administer EPA 608 Type–I, Type–II, Type–III, Universal certifications via our online testing platform with Castle Worldwide.
