Time to Update Your NATE
The beginning of the year is a good time to visit MyNATE at www.mynate.org to make sure we have current contact information.
Technicians: Use MyNATE to check your continuing education hours and certification expiration dates.
Testing organizations: Use MyNATE to begin scheduling your upcoming spring test sessions and to ensure there is enough time for shipping of paper exams (8 business days required). To view or review instructions on how to order and administer exams click here.
Recognized Training Providers: Use MyNATE to submit new courses, and renew and pay for expired courses online at www.mynate.org, so please check the statuses when you login. You can also use your MyNATE login to submit attendance records online so those technicians attending your courses receive instantaneous credit. We have instructions on both processes posted here and a video demonstration here. We plan to phase out the use and acceptance of paper attendance forms by later this year.
Contractors in the NATE Consumer Contractor Connection (C3) program: Use MyNATE to update your C3 listing, check the certification statuses of your technicians and add and remove NATE certified technicians.
HVACR Contractors Can Serve as NATE Testing Providers
HVACR contractors can administer NATE exams for staff technicians at your convenience, as an approved NATE Testing Organization. This means as the weather or your business needs change, you can host testing at the time that works best for your and your staff. Over 100 contractors serve as testing organizations to save time and money by testing staff technicians directly. For more information visit http://www.natex.org/site/398/Contractors/Overview.
NATE Spanish Exams Now Available
Both paper and online versions of the NATE Core exam and Service exams for the Air Conditioning, Heat Pump, and Gas Heating specialties are now available in Spanish. To view the KATEs in Spanish, click here. Testing Organizations can order paper and online exams in Spanish via www.mynate.org.
